Parched

THE WAY OF ST. JAMES

Episode 2

  • The search for love and meaning
  • Shame, isolation, and belonging
  • True refreshment vs. temporary fixes

Parched is a contemplative reflection on the hidden forces that shape our life journeys—most of all, our thirst. Not just for water, but for love, connection, meaning, and healing. Set along the winding paths of the Camino de Santiago, the film explores how both the route we take and the places we stop are defined by where we find refreshment.

Through the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well, Parched confronts the human tendency to settle for shallow sources of love and identity, and invites us to discover a deeper, truer spring—a divine love that fully satisfies. This is not just a film about the Camino; it’s about every person’s inner longing to be truly seen, known, and never thirsty again.
